The season is almost over, and because the Champions League-final is not included in FIFA’s Team of the Week, this weeks TOTW will be shitty. There are only a few competitions of which the players should be picked from. The MLS, Irish and K-League players, and maybe a few South Americans. It is not sure if the internationals will be included, so I didn’t add them.

TOTW 39 Predictions

  • GK: Nicolai Larsen -> This Danish goalkeeper of Aalborg BK in the Danish Superliga has made 8 saves for his team, in a 1-0 victory on FC Nordsjaelland. They are still the number 5 in the competition, where the champion has already been crowned (FC Midtjylland).
  • RB: Peter Larsson -> This central defender of Helsingborg has scored 1 goal this saturday against Aatvidaberg, a match which the home team won by 3 goals (3-0).  Helsingborg is the current number 7 in the Swedish competition.
  • CB: Vitaliy Dyakov -> Vitaliy Dyakov will be definitely in this TOTW, because he scored 3 goals in a 4-1 victory over Tosno (he plays for FK Rostov) in the Russian play-offs for promotion/relegation.
  • LB: Isma Lopez -> Isma Lopez scored 1 goal for Gijon this weekend in a 3-0 away win over Real Betis in the Spanish second division, the Liga Adelante. By their victory, they will be definitely promoted to the Liga BBVA next season, so they can play against the real stars.
  • LM: Aymen Ben Mohamed -> This guy scored the one and only goal for Longford Town in a 1-0 victory.
  • CM: James Chambers -> The central defending midfielder of St Patrick’s scored one goal in a 3-0 victory on friday, in the Irish national competition.
  • CM: Marcus Hansson -> This central midfielder scored one goal for his club (Tromso) in the Norwich competition, a match where Molde has been beaten by 2-0.
  • CM: Bartosz Kapustka -> This central midfielder scored one goal in the 3-0 victory for his team Cracovia, in the Polish play-offs for relegation.
  • RM: Jorge Rojas -> This guy, a right midfielder for Gimnasia in Paraguay, scored 2 goals for his club in a 5-2 victory.
  • ST: Luis Carlos -> I never heard of this guy, but he has 92 pace! This Brazilian left winger who plays for Korona Kielce, also in the Polish play-offs for relegation, scored 2 goals in a 3-1 win.
  • ST: Pal André Helland -> This left winger of Rosenberg in Denmark scored both goals in his team’s 2-1 victory, previous Saturday.
